Operation Ouch, Food, Poo & You
This half term is the final school holidays to catch the world premiere exhibition Operation Ouch! Food, Poo and You, based on the CBBC show featuring Dr Xand, Dr Chris and Dr Ronx.
The ticketed exhibition, which runs until June 9, lets visitors venture inside giant jaws, squeeze through the small intestine and even don a poo hat to experience being flushed down a rather large loo.
Dr Chris and Dr Ronx will actually be making appearances there on May 18 and 25, giving families the opportunity to meet the TV personalities. There are loads more activities on offer at the museum too. During May half term - May 25 to June 2 - visitors can take along their cuddly friends to learn more about the body at the museum’s teddy bear hospital. Find out more on the website here.

Reddish Vale Dino Farm
The dinosaurs are back at Reddish Vale Farm in Stockport this half term. Dino Farm runs from May 25 to 28 and features roaming dinosaurs, ranger training, fossil digging, a dino hunt and so much more.
It's an all-day event at the attraction, with all the usual activities running too, including pony grooming, animal feeding, giant air bouncing pillows, tractor rides and more. At 3.15pm on each of the days there's a foam party where the T-Rex is let loose with the foam cannons. Tickets cost from £13 and can be booked online.

If you fancy a little theatre trip during the school holidays then there's a show for little ones at The Lowry. Featuring a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, the global sensation, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show returns from May 28 to June 1.
Eric Carle’s 'beautifully imaginative stories are transformed from page to stage during a magical 50-minute show that faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s beloved books Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, the newly added Dream Snow and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.
