Waterworld Stoke review
Waterworld Stoke

Waterworld in Stoke has over 30 different rides and attractions including the adrenaline pumping Thunderbolt, the UK’s first trap door drop waterslide! Loads of thrill slides and the cutest toddler area with water jets and a boat slide. If your visit is when its hot outside there is also an outside pool to enjoy! There is a pool side cafe so you can swim and then enjoy some lunch. Its perfect for all ages so a fabulous family attraction

Having not been to Waterworld since i was a child, i was super excited to go back. And as soon as I told my two daughters where we were going they squealed with delight. They haven't been to a true waterpark and as they both love to swim and are confident in the water it was the perfect activity for us as a family.

A great family day out at Waterworld

Wave Pool, Rapids and Slides

We spent two hours in the water and the time literally flew by. It was so much fun, we were splashing around in the wave pool together and then either screaming or giggling as we went down the slides.

There is a great mix of slides for all ages and levels of water confidence. From toddlers splash areas, all the way up to the trill seekers who like to zoom down a slide at 20mph then to be engulfed in a spectacular splash at the bottom.

Toddler Area

Waterworld Stoke Review Toddler Jungle House
Toddler Jungle House

Perfect for Toddlers

There is a massive interactive "Jungle House" for little ones. Climb up the steps and you have a number of different coloured open slides to go down. There are ropes to swing from and buckets that fill up with water then suddenly tip on top of you if your standing in the wrong place. There is a cute little boat slide for really little ones. Everything is so bright and colourful it is a real feast for the eyes and little ones will love it as they explore in the water. There are two larger tunnel sliders for those that are a little more adventurous and require your child to be a bit more independent as they must slide alone.

If they are feeling brave there is a fun family multi slide where up to 4 people can race down to the bottom to make a big splash. There’s so much more to keep them busy from the bubble pool, Jacuzzi and rapids rid

Wave Pool

Wave Pool

I literally don't know how this works but its fantastic. It goes from a calm water pool to massive waves which nearly knock you off your feet. When the alarm goes off you know to either run in or out of the water depending if you love the waves or not. My girls loved them and were bouncing around in the waves for ages.

For the more adventurous and thrill seekers then some of the big slides really get your heart racing.

Cyclone

Cyclone… One of most thrilling and definitely my favourite. Sat in my double rubber ring with my younger daughter in front of me, we went whizzing down the water shoot. First through rainbow lit up tunnels, then into a wide tunnel where you are pushed by the water into more tunnels before being propelled into an inward spiralling dome. We did a few laps of the giant bowl filled with water jets before dropping backwards down the last slide. At a staggering 19mph Cyclone is one of the fastest rides we have to offer. This is not a ride to be missed

Waterworld Slides

The Nucleus

The Nucleus, another one where you need a rubber ring. This is Waterworld’s first Water Rollercoaster which actually blasts you along the slide for 375 feet of ups and downs.

If you’re looking for a more bite-sized introduction to water slides there are three medium sized ones that provide plenty of fun. Which are The Python, Blackhole and Super Flume. These are ones you simply lie on your back with your arms crossed infront of you. Watch out for that big splash at the bottom.

Thunderbolt

The UK’s first trap door drop waterslide! We weren't brave enough to have a go on this but it looked seriously good. You stand inside a see-through pod and it counts down from 5. Then, boom, the floor disappears and your flying through the water slide at 25mph. Do you dare to take the plunge on your visit?

River Rapids

If you are a strong swimmer then this a fun and cool way to relax between slides.

Experience the mix between tranquility and speed, with special under-water speed-boosting water cannons hidden away, which propel you at speed along the river.

Food & Drink

You are not allowed to take food and drink in to the pool area with you, however, there is a large cafe with a great selection of food options by the pool and a subway at the entrance for before or after your session.

At the poolside there is lots of seating. With tables and chairs for eating at, or popping your bag on so you have your towels or goggles to hand. Also if someone doesn't fancy swimming and just wants to watch with a brew this is a great place to sit and there is even a balcony terrace so you can get a high up view of the pool too.

The Waterworld Leisure Resort

The Waterworld Leisure Resort is also home to Adventure Mini Golf with two 18-hole, tiki-themed mini golf courses, and the M Club Spa and Fitness facility.

With package deals available if you would like to try a few of the attractions in one day.
