Get outside and explore the woodland. But you won't be alone. The woodland is jam packed with amazing characters and creatures. There was so many more than i thought there would be and there was some "Roarsome" themes. The 2km family friendly trail is a fun activity for children who are walking up to age 12.
Some of the themes include...
🦕 Dinosaur
🐄 Farmyard
❤ Alice in Wonderland
🐟 Under the Sea
🦄 Mystical
🤠 Wild West
☠ Pirates
🐉 Dungeons & Dragons
The Quiz
My favourite thing about the trail was the quiz. Younger children would need help as its actually quite a challenge, but definitely encourages working together. There are questions where you will find the answers on the information boards by the characters statues. The info boards have a good amount of information on so this was great to read through with your children and talk about the answer.
There was a harder question section and an easier section too where you're just looking for the character names so its actually really good for a wide range of ages. It is suitable from age 4 up to age 12.
The statues are fantastic. Big, colourful, and really stood out within the woodland. You can get up close to most of them too, so children can have a good look. Plus they are perfect for getting fabulous photos.
To add to the experience there are cool sounds blasting out from within the forest. Hidden speaker are playing music and sound effects which partner with each theme your currently walking through.
Parking
You park in a separate carpark to the normal Arley carpark. There are toilets in the car park. There are also toilet at the start of the trail.
Food & Drink
There is then a walk before you get to the start of the trail which is a circular loop. At the start/end it was a nice bonus to find a food stall and an area with picnic tables and benches. The food stall was selling hotdog, loaded nachos, cakes, and drinks.
