Hartford Golf Centre offers a family-friendly environment where everyone is welcome. They have a superb 9 hole pay & play golf course, Trackman Range to give you a data driven experience or a virtual game of golf. Then if you want to experience some golf as a family and have some competitive fun, have a game on their Mad Hatter's Adventure Golf course.
After playing on Hartford's Brand New Mad Hatter's Adventure Golf Course, we were in the mood for more golfing. So when they suggested we had a go on the Range we decided to try it out.

We got 150 balls between myself and 3 children. Then we headed down to find a bay to start playing. The setup at Hartford is perfect for a group of people playing or if you have some spectaculars. There is a bar with stools to sit at when it isn't your turn. This was perfect for the girls to sit at and to also understand that if you sat or stood behind the bar, then you wouldn't be in danger of getting hit by a swinging club.
The Power Tee Bays made it really easy for the girls to take it turns. You poured your balls into the machine, and they were fed onto the tee automatically, ready to hit.
Trackman
Hartford used the TrackMan Range, which is virtual golf technology. It is perfect for everyone's skill level. It gives accurate data and feedback about balls flight. You can see improvements on the screen and set your self targets.
Is it Child Friendly?
The girls found the system easy enough to understand. They really liked to see the height and distance of their balls and were so pleased when they got a new top score. There is a huge range of games to play. Go monster hunting on Magic Pond, launch some bombs on the Hit-It longest drive feature or work on your accuracy with the incredibly addictive Bullseye game.
There was a wide range of people playing on the range while we were there. A mix of people on their own practicing but also parents with children. It was a really friendly place and it was a lovely way to spend an hour or two.
Superb 9 Hole Pay & Play Golf Course
The Golf Club also has a Pay and Play Course.
The course is open 7 days a week 7am - 9pm
The course has an inviting layout suitable for all levels of golfer with a variety of tee options and USGA greens, tight lush fairways, ponds and mature woodland, that challenge the low handicapper yet also play fairly for the high handicapper. They were one of the first clubs to introduce gender neutral tee varieties and we have 5 tee options for every hole.
Food & Drinks
If you're hungry while playing, there is a snack and light lunch menu to order from. There are small plates of loaded chips, chicken wings, as well as burgers. Back outside the front of the Golf Club there is a coffee van and some outside seating. So whether you have been playing on the range or on the Adventure golf course you can have a drink and snack afterwards.
