We loved this immersive Christmas experience. The beautiful hall at Arley was the perfect setting for this Nutcracker story. The grand rooms had been magically transformed into enchanting rooms of wonder.

We were welcomed inside by the first, full of live character Drosselmeyer.

He was tantalizing to watch, catching our attention instantly and drew us into the Nutcracker story. The children stood opened mouthed listening to him and I couldn't help but smile. We were to go on a festive experience through five rooms of the hall and in each one, we would meet a character to tell us the next part of the tale.

It was like a theatre performance like no other, we were part of the show and could talk to the actors. Answering their questions and helping them to act out parts of the story.

The nutcracker prince popped out of a giant box and began to dance. Surrounded by christmas trees and the grand staircase within the hall. It was fantastic to watch and the children loved the interaction as he checked to see if they were infact toys too.

Next we were lead into what looked like a winter forest with trees covered in a blue haze and introduced to the evil mouse queen.

She didn't like Christmas or joy but the children all joined together to sing and successfully changed the mouse queens' opinion.

Sugar Plum fairy was beautiful and taught the girls to dance

The beautiful sugar plum fairy put on an elegant show and taught us some ballet moves before we moved on to the last room which had Father Christmas in. In turn he talked to each child, just for a minute or so but it was lovely to see each child take their turn to ask Father Christmas for that special something.

Each room was dressed exquisitely and the performers were wonderful. For that 45 minutes you were in a winter wonderland of singing, dancing and live theatre performances.

I just wish it was longer as it was such a lovely event. My daughter said she would have loved the nutcracker and the sugar plum fairy to have danced together.

Its suitable for any age children. I took my 9 year old daughter and niece but i think my 12 year old would have equally enjoyed it.
