When visiting Blackpool on May Bank Holiday weekend we decided to book a night in a hotel to make it more of a visit. After looking around on the usual booking sites i wasn't finding much. But then i went on Facebook and found this hidden gem of a hotel.

The hotel isn't on any booking sites, and there are no prices on their website so I plucked up the courage to phone. It felt very old school and traditional having to phone up, and if you're like me, I'm always a bit nervous phoning places.
I didn't have anything to worry about. The lady who answered the phone, who is the owner, is so nice and friendly. She told me what was available and checked a few details and told me a price. I didn't feel like i had to give her an answer there and then so we had a little think about it and i rang back a couple of days later to book.
A Great Price
There wasn't a family room left but we got a double and a twin bedroom which were next door to each other which was perfect. And for £138 it was a very reasonable price too. That included breakfast and parking for 2 adults and 2 children.( May 2024)
Checking in
Check in is at 2pm, however we arrived in Blackpool at 11am. I had checked before hand and we could park at the hotel before check in so i popped inside to get a sign for our car to be surprised that our rooms were already ready and we could check in early.
Our Rooms
We got a double bedroom and a twin bedroom next to each other on the 2nd floor. Both rooms had a fantastic view of the Pleasure Beach. The rooms were nice and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The usual coffee making facilities, hairdryer and ensuite bathroom with a few soaps in. We slept really well as the beds were comfy and we didn't hear any noise from outside either or from the bar of the hotel. We would normally get a family room (but it was already booked) but these two rooms worked fine for us too.
The Bar
After our busy day out exploring Blackpool we were pleased to get back to the hotel for a couple of drinks in the bar. We got a seat next to the fire which was warm and cosy. The girls were happy relaxing while we chatted to some other guests staying at the hotel.
This bar was amazing. It was so funky, fun and interesting. There were comfy leather sofas and chairs in a sort of American bar style. The walls were covered in musical instruments and posters of music legends. One area was dedicated to the classic Carry On Films. With lots of memorabilia, the whole collection of the films on dvd and a tv to watch them on if you wished. A room just off the bar had a large pool table in too.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in their separate dining room. And wow, this was just as funky, fun and interesting as the bar. With bright red chairs and the walls decorated with vintage metal signs.
Cereal, yoghurts, pastries, fresh fruit and juice was all at the breakfast bar which you could help your self to. Our cooked breakfast order was taken, we could choose what we wanted and it was soon brought out, freshly cooked and very yummy. It was a good size, not too big that you end up stuffed or leaving some. Just right and nicely cooked. Along with our morning coffee and toast we were truly set up for the day after our breakfast.
Final Verdict
I'm so pleased i found this gem of a hotel. I was happy with all aspects. The location is great, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. We actually left my daughter teddy in the room by mistake and the cleaner found it. They rang me up, luckily we were still exploring so could go back and collect the toy but the owner said she would have posted it if we couldn't. Everything was clean and tidy, lovely white bedding and comfy beds. I really liked the decor of the bar and dining room and made our hotel stay one to remember. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely book again ourselves when visiting Blackpool again (which btw the girls have already asked to do)
