On entering the Chester Market we were greeted by the smell of yummy food and the gentle hum of people chatting & having lunch together.
We grabbed one of the long tables in the middle and took it in turns to walk around all the food stalls to see what was on offer. We all ended up ordering from somewhere different, which ended up being great as we could see what lots of places were like.
What We Ordered
My littlest girl is totally obsessed with noodles at the moment, so she went straight to "Thai by Thai" stall. We read through the menu together and she asked to try, Singapore Rice Noodles with chicken. When it came, it was a massive portion. The noodles were fantastic too, just the right amount of spice for her and really tasty.
My eldest had a good look round and decided on a stone fired pizza from "Mercato Pizza Co" she got one with a meaty topping of pepperoni and nduja with honey. When it came, it was super fresh and hot, and my daughter really enjoyed it. I stole a slice, and it was definitely a good pizza.
My husband went to Guroma which was serving South Asian cuisine, and had so many interesting dishes. He chose the Tandoori Chicken Bangla Bowl, which had rice, Indian slaw, chickpeas, pomegranate & Bombay mix. It was a real feast for the eyes and taste buds.
And last of all, i went to Big Lola’s Taqueria a Mexican food stall. After much deliberating i went for the Chicken Burrito with extra hot sauce. This didn't have the big wow factor like the other dishes as the presentation is simple but the burrito was delicious and so full of different flavours and textures. It had lots of shredded chicken, rice, black beans, cheese and sour cream and pico de gallo.
Our final opinion
We loved finding this new fun and vibrant place to eat in Chester. Its great how we can all order from different places and sit together for a relaxed meal. There is so many yummy options that we could easily go back again and again and try something different each time.
I would definitely recommend a visit next time your in Chester.
