Kenyon Hall Farm shop is in Warrington, Cheshire. It has a wonderful shop filled with locally grown and resourced produce, a cafe serving yummy dishes, a plant centre, children's play area and lots of extra activities on through out the year for children and families.
This gorgeous farm shop has been popping up on my social media for a while, tempting me to make the 30min drive to visit. So, on the last day of the summer holidays, we ventured over to Warrington to check out Kenyon Hall Farm.
Straight away, when we arrived, i was pleasantly surprised to find a small play area. There was swings, slides, and tyres to climb on. With plenty of seating to eat your purchases from the cafe.

Kenyon Hall Farm has been farmed by the same family since before 1500. The farm shop opened in June 2011. They have tried to retain the family feel, with Tod and Barbara working full time in the business. Their youngest son James came back to the farm in 2016 to be the Farm Shop manager and in 2020 they welcomed back their eldest son Simon to manage the horticultural side of the business. As well as having their family working together, they have a team of friendly staff to make your visit a great one.
🥦Farm Shop 🧀
Inside the farm shop is an Aladdin's cave of yummy food. I was also pleased to see they actually produce quite a few products them selves to sell in the shop.
They grow lots of their own fruit and vegetables. You can also pick up some homemade jams, chutneys, and cakes. Their bread that’s been freshly baked in the kitchen that morning. Or honey from bee hives on the farm, oil pressed from their oil seed rape and duck eggs from their little flock. As we visited at the end of the summer, they had started to add an autumn theme to their shop. Their display of handmade decorations for Halloween and material pumpkins looked great.

The cafe serves traditional farmhouse breakfasts, sandwiches, pies, soups and home-baked cakes.
They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. Tables available on a first-come first-served basis for:
Breakfast: 9am - 11.45am
Lunch: 12pm - 3pm
Coffee & cakes: until 4.30pm.
You can also pre order an Afternoon Tea from 2pm which looked really good.
Seating for the cafe is both inside, outside under a covered area, and then in the play area too. So there are plenty of options where to enjoy your food and drinks while also letting your children play.
🌹Plant Centre
Kenyon Hall also has 30 years experience of growing and selling plants. They are well stocked and have all this available.
Fruit Plants: Strawberries, Currants, Gooseberries, Blackberries, Figs, Rhubarb, Loganberries and some more unusual varieties!
Veg Plants: A good selection including: Carrots, Cauliflower, Swede, Sprouts, Cabbage, Broccoli, Pak Choi, Leeks, Onions and Lettuce.
Herbs: A selection of the first hardy herbs and lavenders.
Spring Flowers: Snowdrops, Hyacinths, Primroses, Tulips, Muscari and Cyclamen.
Bedding Plants: Pansies and Violas.
Roses: Patio, climbing, floribunda, with nearly 100 varieties!
Shrubs: Including Red Robin, Dog Wood, Hebes, Laurel and Forsythia.
Activities for Children
🌽We visited while their Maize Maze was open, this was a great extra activity to do. This years theme was of knights and princesses. You could take a photo of the map at the start, which showed you where 6 hidden characters were in the maze. There are a few photo opportunities too and the boards with the characters on have been painted beautifully.
🍓The fruit and veg picking is also a nice activity, just check out their website to see which is ready to pick. At different times you can pick strawberries, garden peas, sunflowers, sweetcorn and raspberries.
