Jungle Parc High Ropes at Walton Gardens
Jungle Parc High Ropes at Walton Gardens

Jungle Parc is a tree climbing adventure course within the woodland at Walton Gardens in Warrington. It is perfect for smaller children as it has low level courses for children from the age of 4 and older. If you have older and more confident children then from age 8 they can have a go on the higher, more challenging courses. Plus, adults can join in with the higher courses too so it is a great family friendly activity. Make it a full day out by visiting the play area, zoo and cafe at Walton Gardens afterwards too.

We visited over the summer holidays, and the girls proved themselves as a lot braver than me up in the trees. They were flying along the course with great agility. On our visit, there were some younger children really testing their courage on the courses, and when they completed it, you saw how proud they felt.

This place has a different vibe to it than the other High Rope places we have been to. It has a really good mix of different courses with 60 different challenges. The best thing is that it's got lower to the ground courses.

These are still challenging & have fun things like a rocket you sit in which then glides down a zip wire to the next tree. But as its lower its not as scary & so brilliant for children having their first go on high ropes.

Staff

When we arrived the staff got us ready to climb by putting on our harnesses. Everyone must go on the Training Course first. This is where a member of staff shows you how to clip on to the courses & what to do when you come to the zip wires. The staff were great, really friendly & helpful. There are always staff on the ground which are watching you and if you need any advise or help they are on hand to guide you.

The Courses

There are 6 courses in total plus the training course. Each one gets higher & harder. There are 2 Green & 2 Blue which are just for children. Then there is Red and Black which are for children over 8 & adults. These are higher up in the air & the challenges between each tree get more demanding. The black course in particular is set to test your bravery & strength. I did this and can report back, even though i was totally scared with sweaty palms, it was amazing.

As you climb the net up to the first tree on the black course you are greeted by a big zip wire straight away. Letting your harness take your weight you just have to step off the small platform that your already balancing on. The adrenalin rush this brings is great and helps you get round the rest of the course.

The courses include 2 rocket zips, tarzan swings, wobbly logs/bridges, standing zip line/sitting zipline and even an aerial skateboard! And many more exciting obstacles!

The three hours we spent up in the trees flew by & was a great activity to spend together as me & the girls all helped each other with tips & encouragement when needed.
