You must follow their cafe on social media as they do fantastic posts about their gorgeous homemade cakes and just general chit chat which is always entertaining. Their Friday bakes are always next level and then their Saturday morning cinnamon buns literally fly out the door in 20minutes.
What's on the Menu
They serve breakfast until 12 with a good selection on offer. From hearty cooked breakfasts, veggie breakfasts and protein pancakes to simple items like a bacon butty or scrambled eggs on toast.
Their lunch menu is what we always go for. Their toasted ciabattas are amazing. They have plenty of different filling combinations and not just your usual options you get else where. Filling like the "New York Deli" with pastrami, sauerkraut, gherkins, mustard mayo and cheese. Or "The Porky" with home roasted pulled pork, black pudding and apple sauce. Aswel as the ciabattas, they also have paninis, toasties, cold sandwiches and salad bowls.
We went for lunch during the week and found it hard to choose just which sandwich so we decided to order two different ones and share them between us. The ladies even plated them up already with half and half on, which is goin that extra mile with customer service. The staff are really helpful if you have any dietary requests too.
What we ordered
🥪We went for one of "The Cubano" which was their handmade pulled pork, ham, gherkin, Mustard mayo and cheddar cheese. And our other choice was "The Veggie Goat" which was roasted garlic herby veg and goats cheese.
Both of the ciabattas were loaded full with their filling aswel as coming with a lovely dressed salad. The sandwiches were so yummy and you could tell the pulled pork was home roasted and tasted amazing.
🍰Obviously after the sandwiches we had to go up and check out the cake counter.
Drinks & Bites create some out standing cakes. There is usually a massive sponge cake with dreamy flavour combinations. Their Bakewell one is a favourite of ours which has lots of mini Bakewell tarts baked in the sponge and then extra cut up on top. It is quite the luxury treat. They also are well known for their Brownies and Blondies, but really, they can produce any sort of cake and do it amazingly well.
So next time you're in Middlewich (or even if you're not and you have to drive over specially) I do suggest giving this cafe a try.
