Challenge Point is a crazy interactive gameshow, where teams of 2-6 battle it out, in a series of mini games, with the aim of winning as many points as possible. Tucked away in the heart of Chester, Challenge Point isn’t your average activity—it’s perfect for thrill-seekers, puzzle-solvers, and adrenaline lovers.
We were invited along to take on the game at Challenge Point. With two older children they love activities like this, testing their ability and they love a bit of competition.
This was honestly so much fun. My mind and body felt in a sense of total panic and over drive the whole time. I have never had to think so quickly or communicate so cleverly with my family ever!!

What to Expect:
You’ll take on 7 wildly creative mini-games, each lasting around 5 minutes, designed to test your brain, coordination, and teamwork. Whether you're answering trivia, dodging lasers, or decoding clues, your goal is simple: score as many points as possible before time runs out. The top-scoring team then moves on to the epic final round – The Point.

Some Highlights from Our Visit:
Laser Games:
Let’s just say, the kids owned this one. With their ninja-like reflexes, they crawled, jumped, and twisted through laser beams like pros. My husband and I happily cheered from the sidelines while they smashed through two laser challenges solo and racked up big points for our team.

Guess Who (with a twist):
Split by a wall, we had to describe and match faces with only our voices — no peeking! It was a hilarious test of how well we know each other, and let’s just say, our communication skills were truly put to the test.

Mr & Mrs Charades:
This might have been our favorite! Each team watched their partner act out objects and animals on a TV screen — completely silent. No sound, just gestures, inside jokes, and wild guesses. We had a blast trying to interpret “Jurassic Park” and “violin” through frantic miming.

Shooting Game:
It was the ultimate test of both brainpower and aim. Armed with our Nerf guns, we got ready to fire—but not just at targets. In front of us was a wild array of possible answers: celebrities spinning on a giant wheel, numbered boxes straight out of Deal or No Deal, a True or False mannequin, and even a deck of playing cards. The questions appeared on the screen, and the chaos began. Trying to think fast under pressure was one thing—actually hitting the right answer was a whole other challenge. The room was filled with laughter, shrieks, and the kind of joyful chaos that only a game like this could create.
Between games, we regrouped in the game studio to check the leaderboard and excitedly chat about what we’d just tackled and what might be coming next. The pressure of the clock combined with the competitive buzz made everything feel ten times more intense — and ten times more fun.

Spin the Wheel:
Halfway through the games, we had a chance to spin a wheel for a shot at extra points or a bonus challenge. Of course, there was also the risk of losing points. We gave it a spin and landed on “You win a Disappointing Prize.” Our reward? A broken wooden fork. Normally, that might’ve been a bit of a letdown—but my girls thought it was absolutely hilarious and definitely added to the fun of the whole activity.
If you love watching tv gameshows then you must give Challenge Point a go. Picture The Crystal Maze combined with The Cube, add a dash of a Mission Impossible-style laser maze, mix in the excitement of Supermarket Sweep, and you’re getting close! It’s an action-packed, fun-filled experience that’s perfect for just about everyone.

Mini Games You Get to Play:
Supermarket Beep: Dash around scanning the right items in this frantic, real-life supermarket sweep.
Laser Maze: A pitch-black room filled with red lasers. Touch one? Back to the start!
Laser Co-Op: Work with a partner to break lasers in the correct color order — communication is key!
Limitless: 100 buttons, 100 possible answers. Trivia meets reflexes in this one-of-a-kind challenge.
Guess Who: Old-school guessing game — but now it’s team-based, timed, and only voice-activated.
Mr & Mrs (Charades): Can you act out a T-Rex or a saxophone without speaking? Now’s your chance.
Shooting Quiz: Nerf gun meets pop quiz. Hit the right answer or miss your points!
If you love interactive, immersive games or have a competitive streak, Challenge Point Chester is a must-visit. It’s the perfect family outing, team-building experience, or unique day out with friends. Expect thrills, chaos, and a whole lot of laughter.
