😛 What We Ordered
Mum - Pesto Poached Eggs - 2 poached eggs on a bed of tender stem broccoli, kale and sourdough toast with pesto and pine nuts and i added an extra of feta cheese.
Dad - Huevos Rancheros - 2 poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce and kale, served with avocado, sourdough toast and he added a cheeky side order of bacon too.
10 year old - kids pancakes with chocolate spread and squirty cream
😃 Our Verdict
As big breakfast fans, we have to say April’s is easily one of the best spots we’ve tried!
My husband loved the bold flavours and spice in his dish—April’s unique take on Huevos Rancheros (served differently than the traditional tortilla version) won him over completely.
My meal was unlike anything I’d had before—the combination of pesto with poached eggs was delicious, and with the broccoli and kale, it actually felt like I was eating something really fresh and healthy.
The kids’ pancake stack was adorable and just the right size for my 10-year-old. She had fun adding her own toppings and even did a little happy dance after her first bite—safe to say, they were a hit!
With so many other tempting dishes on the menu, we can’t wait to come back and try more. Plus, the fact that you can order from both the breakfast and lunch menus all day means endless options!
